TivaBoda Mchuma Bajaji Basic - $4/daily deposit

The TivaBoda-Mchuma Package is an add-on to the TivaBoda Health Scheme in Tanzania that aims to support BodaBoda riders in owning their own motorcycles. As a critical asset in their line of work, purchasing a new motorcycle can be financially challenging for BodaBoda riders. The TivaBoda Mchuma Package offers various options for policyholders looking to own a new motorcycle or a three-wheeled motorized vehicle.

To qualify for the TivaBoda Mchuma package and obtain a credit line for a new motorcycle, a TivaBoda Health Scheme policyholder must deposit at least $2 per day until they reach 40% of the motorcycle's price. Once this requirement is met, the policyholder will be eligible for a credit line that will enable them to purchase a new motorcycle.

It's important to note that the TivaBoda Mchuma Package is only available to TivaBoda Health Scheme policyholders. Furthermore, to remain eligible for the credit line, policyholders must meet the deposit requirements and maintain their health scheme membership in good standing.

The TivaBoda Mchuma package not only offers financial assistance to BodaBoda riders but also promotes responsible borrowing and encourages them to become successful entrepreneurs. By owning their own motorcycles, BodaBoda riders are empowered to start and manage their own business operations, which can increase their earnings and improve their overall quality of life. Moreover, owning a motorcycle provides BodaBoda riders with greater control over their working conditions, schedules, and safety, which are all essential factors in ensuring a sustainable and profitable business.

Per Person plan

TivaBoda Mchuma Gold package is designed to help bodaboda riders in Tanzania save for their future and eventually purchase their own new motorbike. The plan offers coverage for one person between the ages of 18 and 55, and requires daily, weekly, or monthly deposits until they reach 40% of the motorcycle's price. With this plan, subscribers can enjoy peace of mind knowing that they are taking steps towards securing their financial future and achieving their goals.

 


·        If a BodaBoda rider is hospitalized due to a broken leg after an accident, the TivaBoda After-Hospitalization Support plan provides financial assistance during their recovery period. The cost of this plan is affordable, and the benefits can help subscribers cover their basic needs while they focus on healing.

·        Under the Tiva After-Hospitalization Support, a subscriber to the TivaBoda Health Scheme who is hospitalized and unable to earn income can receive a maximum payout of $100 or $200 per year, depending on the chosen category. This is equivalent to $10 per day for 10 days or $10 per day for 20 days, respectively. The financial assistance provided can help cover basic needs such as food, rent, and other expenses that the subscriber may be unable to pay during their recovery period.

·        It is important to note that the Tiva After-Hospitalization Support is one of the additional plans offered by the TivaBoda Health Scheme, which provides comprehensive healthcare coverage to BodaBoda riders and their families. In addition to the financial support provided by this add-on plan, subscribers can also take advantage of other benefits, such as access to a nationwide network of hospitals and healthcare providers, outpatient and inpatient care, education and training programs, and a telemedicine platform.

  • Acceptance age: 18 to 68 Bodaboda riders
  • Tiva After-Hospitalization Support can only be purchased as an Add-On to TivaBoda Health Scheme. 

·       Non-subscribers of the TivaBoda Health Scheme are not allowed to purchase any of the TivaBoda Add-On plans, including the TivaBoda After Hospitalization Support. Only BodaBoda riders who are registered members of the TivaBoda Health Scheme are eligible to purchase this plan.

·       There is a waiting period of 30 days from the date of purchase of the plan before subscribers can begin to receive its benefits. Non-subscribers are not eligible to purchase this plan.

Tiva, as an insurer, reserves the right to refuse to provide Tiva Broken benefits if any malicious act, as defined by the law or criminal code, is discovered. This includes bad driving behaviors such as running red lights or driving while under the influence of alcohol, as well as any conspiracy to defraud the company.

    -- Beneficiary to activate multi users; must have health insurance balance credit to cover activation of those packages -- 
    Eg. TivaBoda Health insurance package cost $55/person -- to activate coverage for two people on the package; at least you need a balance of $99
    and if 3 people - $148.5 credits etc.. Note: This is just an example.
