1. To pay with Tiva via USSD for your purchases

To ask for Tiva to pay for your Consumption?

Type: *120*Buznumber*Amount*PIN*333#Send

Note: To verify amount Tiva can pay for you, ask for your Tiva balance by typing *121#

To ask Tiva account balance – type *121#

Note: your telecom will charge; Vodacom Fc: 20, Airtel Fc:15 Tigo Fc:30
Its free to check your Tiva account balance with Tiva app.


2. Pay for your purchases using Tiva App

Its easy to pay for your purchases using Tiva app and it’s always better to use your Tiva app for payments.

1. Scan QR

Just scan the QR code at the shop or invoice and put the amount and pay. Simple as that

2. Pay manual using the app

Manual way is insert manual the buzz number of the business / shop /seller in your app, put amount and pay

3. How to deposit the money in your Tiva Account for you shopping

We advice to put all the money for your food consumption in your Tiva Account – in this way it help our algorithm know your food consumption per month so it can give you more money on the loan at the time of your need. The more money you deposit in your Tiva account, the better our system understands

To deposit the Money in your Tiva account

- Go to nearest street shop or vendor where you will find Tiva is available here.

Give them the cash – tell them you want to recharge your Tiva Account for food and
grocery needs. Give them your phone number
Note: The phone number the one you did sign up / register with will remain always your user name of your Tiva Account.
Once you give them the money, the vendor will recharge / deposit on your behalf, if you have a

• Tiva app, notification will show to your app instantly if you have internet.

• Sms also will be sent to you but some time it can take time Verifying your balance by typing *121# is the best way to see. Note: looking for your balance using USSD will result a charge from your mobile operator

Note: Tiva is still working with Mobile payments to enable deposit of money to your Tiva Account direct from Mpesa, Tigo pesa and Airtel money.


3. How to withdraw money from Tiva Account.

Its simple to withdraw your money from Tiva Account Go to any shop with sign Tiva is available here. Ask them to see if they have the amount you want to withdraw with them in cash, if the answer is yes – go ahead and type

Confirm your transaction – if ok, shop owner will give you the cash,


4. Recharging a friend Tiva Account .

Its possible to send some grocery money to a friend ( A Tiva user or not) To send some grocery money to a friend

Note: If is a Tiva user, automatically that grocery money will be deposited in their account but if they have no Tiva account – they will get sms informing of you sending them the money but needs to create a Tiva account they can create an account by typing *120#Send – click here to learn more about creating Tiva account.
